Tunstall LifeCareTM helps Councils to transform services enabled by Connected Care and Connected Health solutions

Tunstall Healthcare will share some of the successes achieved by Tunstall LifeCare, its partnership approach to technology which underpins the transformation of care services, at the ADASS Spring Seminar from the 13th – 15th April in Yarnfield.

Tunstall’s Transforming care and saving money – Better Care Technology workshop, chaired by Linda Sanders, ADASS Telecare Lead and Strategic Director People Wolverhampton City Council, will reveal brand new findings and outcomes achieved by using technology-enabled care in Blackburn, and exciting preventative models of care delivery in Spain.

Speaking at the workshop will be Ester Sarquella, Member of the Operational Committee, Inter-Ministerial Plan for Integrated Health and Social Care, Government of Catalonia. Ester will describe the Spanish proactive ‘teleassistance’ model, a large-scale public/private partnership which serves 75,000 people and provides telecare monitoring and response, coordinated social care, public health and preventative services to become an international reference site.

Steve Tingle, Director of Adults (DASS) at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, will reveal how their technology enabled care service has improved lives and achieved significant savings, as evaluated by Newton Europe. The uptake of complex telecare in Blackburn with Darwen has increased several-fold over the last year as part of a whole system social care change programme, which has generated ongoing annual savings of £2.8m.

Kevin Alderson, UK Sales and Marketing Director said

In keeping with the conference themes of Conversations with Health and International Conversations, Tunstall’s workshop will include real examples of how using Connected Care and Connected Health technologies can underpin system redesign and culture change to enable improved outcomes and deliver significant financial savings. Tunstall LifeCare has proven to be a successful framework for the design, delivery and development of integrated health, housing and social care services, and we’re keen to share Tunstall’s experience of working in collaboration with our customers using technology enabled care to transform services and change lives.

Tunstall LifeCare supports organisations seeking to deliver care differently to achieve financial efficiencies and improve outcomes for users, providing a structure for redesigning services using technology as an enabler. Tunstall works in collaboration with providers to understand their particular challenges and develop a strategy to address them and achieve their desired outcomes. Based on the three Ds of Design, Delivery and Development, the LifeCare approach is modular, meaning customers can choose support with specific areas or to partner with Tunstall for the whole service.
