GSM Module

Raises a Lifeline alarm via any mobile network.

Automatic selection of GSM if landline fails

The GSM module is specifically designed to connect to a Lifeline home unit, allowing calls to be raised using the GSM mobile phone network. Because the GSM module is supplied SIM card free, the service provider can use the network of their choice.

It’s ideal for elderly, infirm or disabled people, individuals who have been discharged from hospital and require additional support, people subject to domestic violence, racial harassment, repeat victimisation and distraction burglary, people living alone and monitoring unoccupied buildings.

Ensures alerts are not missed

  • Establishes a secure telephone link when there is no landline available, allowing the calls to be transmitted to a 24 hour monitoring centre.
  • Can be configured by dial codes or remotely by SMS.
  • Automatic low battery warnings ensure the monitoring centre is alerted if the battery needs replacing.
  • SMS reporting of terminal status.

Smart technology solutions designed to save lives

How does it work?

When a call is initiated, the Lifeline home unit will transmit the call to the designated 24 hour monitoring centre via the mobile phone network. Once the call is accepted at the monitoring centre, two-way speech is established between the operator and the caller. It is also supplied with a battery backup to provide even greater reassurance in the event of power failure.

Features:

  • Landline and GSM connection
  • 50 hours standby battery providing five hours of talk time
  • Dual band GSM for EU voice calls
  • Automatic selection of GSM if the landline fails
  • CLI (Caller display) information presented to a connected telephone screen
  • Module can detect a PSTN line fail and switch over to GSM
