We are excited to be bringing you our conference this year from Birmingham in an exciting new venue for TSA. We have a full programme this year with both days led by speakers who understand the vital importance of technology in their daily lives.
We look forward to hearing their stories, giving us all the inspiration and encouragement to argue that people should have access to a wide range of technologies and services that keep people and their families safe, healthy and well.

That was the thinking behind our conference theme of ‘Connected Care, Connected Homes and Connected Communities’ supported by health, housing and care services and underpinned by robust standards.
With the pressures on health, housing and care services, we need to see services transformed with the support of proven technologies and wraparound services. It is vital that we work more collaboratively. Partnering across the industry and with other sectors was a key message from last year’s conference.
To help us do this more effectively, we have joined forces this year with sector leaders and we will be welcoming for the first time
We also have a number of inspiring speakers from across industry and we are excited to have innovator and visionary, Professor Eddie Obeng with us. There will be an address from Nicola Blackwood MP (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Public Health and Innovation at the Department
This year we will have significant updates on standards, code of practice and our technology roadmap based on feedback from our recent events and from members throughout the year.
We will also be publishing a white paper based on our September 2016 think tank meeting with leading organisations who have adopted
Last year, we welcomed Paul Burstow for the first time as conference chair. Paul is now a senior advisor to TSA and chaired the recent think tank session as well as our summit in the spring.
We are really delighted that Paul is back this year to chair the conference and very much welcome his comments on progress since last year.
